Day 10 of I’m Way 2 Fat – No looking back!

three-bellies

5:00am – two slices of 15 grain toast with a thin speread of peanut butter.

7:30am – Pecans, Grapes and a banana.

9:40am – Low sodium deli turkey breast slices.

12:00 – Lunch… this was the weekly team lunch featuring hard and soft tacos with of course taco meat and all of the fixings included rice and refried beans. I on the other hand had some baked chicken breast on a bed of fresh spinach with a boiled egg and no fat dressing. For dessert I had some cashews.  More and more I’m not missing the unhealthy eating if not for any other reason than my own food is so good!

2:00 – I don’t remember what I ate then and I normally write everything down. I’m guessing that means that I forgot to eat then, (head hung in shame).

6:00 – Another occasion where I am trying to live a normal life without too much disruption to family living. Anyone who knows me knows that Friday night is date night between me and my lovely bride of 29 years. We ended out at a pizza type place and that actually seemed appealing at the moment so here what I did… I ordered a kid size pizza, (about the size of a dinner plate at best), with light cheese, sauce and whole garlic cloves. Due to the garlic cloves my wife will not come near me now! 🙂 What was amazing to me is that I couldn’t/wouldn’t finish the pizza. I actually left at least 1/4 behind. I even refused to take it home as I feared that I would be tempted to eat it at a later date. Perhaps not the best dietary choice but at least it was in moderation compared to what I would have had two weeks ago.

All in all work is extremely stressful right now but I am not allowing myself to use that as an excuse to hit up the candy machine as a reward to myself as I would have done recently.

I hope that all is well with all of you and I again thank you for taking an interest in this big ol boys efforts!

I will be anxious to read how other Bloggers respond … but my two cents for what it’s worth … next time take the remaining pizza home. I considered 2 slices from a regular pizza a meal. You could add a side salad. Left-overs were breakfast or lunch because I love melted cheese on anything. 1 oz hard cheese melted on 1 slice of whole wheat bread is to me like your 5 AM breakfast. You can even add slices of tomato (don’t laugh, tomato is a fruit!).
    Exercise?
Since you are now planning and preparing ahead of time, have you considered planning a Mexican lunch for Team Mexican Lunch day?
Good work!!! … and it is “work” right now but trust me, it will slowly become habit, this taking care of yourself.
