Unfortunately this has to be a quick post due to an early morning for work and I won’t be back home until later tonight!

Overall 12 consecutive weeks with negative numbers and I came within 3.4 pounds of my first goal of 250 pounds by the wedding.

Quick question for the crowd…This is wedding week coming up and I can assure you that while not going out of my way to do so I am likely to have my first bad week. I am going to be surrounded by friends and family that I haven’t seen for a long time and quite frankly this is one week where I will be less prone to staying as regimented. I may indeed also have alcohol for the first time in ten weeks as well.

My question is do I stay true to the weekly weigh-in or skip next weeks with the second week out being the next weigh-in. I think I already have my answer but I’m curious as to your opinions.

If you drink you’ll probably just throw up anyway.

Awesome progress so far! I would say have a great week and then as soon as its over get back on track. You’ve come this far, after the wedding you can hop back into it. You might have to make-up some lost ground, but come on its a wedding 😉

Enjoy yourself at the wedding but keep the weigh-in. Remember that this is a lifestyle change and one of the most important parts of staying successful with a lifestyle change is LEARNING how your body responds to dietary changes. You WANT to know what the partying does for you, good or bad. You may find out that you can have a cheat day on occasion and not suffer much, and wouldn’t that be nice to know! You may also find that you take a step backwards and this will also be useful information for you. I think it is very important that you continue with the weigh-ins. Check your ego at the door and accept the fact that one day you may weigh yourself and not lose anything, or even gain. Don’t get discouraged, just figure out what you need to do to get back on track.

Congratulations on making such EXCELLENT progress. Enjoy every minute of your daughter’s wedding for all it’s worth. Feasts are a gift from God.

Thank you Jason D for speaking so elegantly. I concur.

Chet, PLEASE keep to your weekly weigh-in.

Since this BLOG is the tool you chose for yourself to no only help meet your weight goal but also your lifestyle change, will you use it to keep yourself grounded this week?
